Born in the Boston, MA area, I have had a rich journey of life experience and formal education, including growing up in a musical family and becoming a professional musician at age 10, traveling and studying in West Africa, and pursuing a healing path.
I am a licensed Master Social Worker, a Certified Coach, a University Professor, a Metaphysical Minister, and a professional musician who teaches, speaks, and writes about music, wellness, spirituality, and human behavior, including: self-care, mindfulness, and how to make and sustain change in one’s life.
I am passionate about personal growth, discovery, spirit, and finding and helping others find their rhythm. My mission is to guide others into their own awareness and to support them in putting their intentions into practice.
As a social justice and wellness advocate, my approach is from a strengths perspective, and I use my broad knowledge and experience to creatively meet each person in a place that feels comfortable. I am committed to providing the space, intention, insight, and support that allows people to have empowering conversations that support self-care.

A Musical Life
Performing professionally since 1986
I had my first paying gig in 1986 singing in a wedding. I have been performing ever since. I completed a Bachelors in flute performance in 1997. I have had the privilege of operating a private music studio since 1994 teaching individuals and chamber groups to children and adults. I regularly adjudicate music competitions and festivals and teach through community and University extension programs and camps. I perform orchestral and chamber music regularly and have an adjunct professor position in music.
A drumming education in Africa
My undergraduate education included a 4-month sabbatical in Ghana, West Africa in 1996 studying drumming with a master drummer and conducting research on traditional music in early elementary public schools. I returned to Ghana in 1997/1998 for an additional two months of study. I have been an artist in residence or guest artist at schools throughout New England and California.
I have been teaching West African Drumming since 1998 to middle and high school students, public school teachers, and as a performance class at the University level.
Called to Coaching
I finished my Masters in Social Work in 2004 and a certificate as a Professional Coach in 2010, as well as a certificate in Aging program through Boston University and finishing a PhD in Metaphysics through the University of Metaphysics in Sedona. I spent 7 years working as a social worker with families and individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. I have worked as a full-time clinical professor and Adjunct faculty in both Social Work and Family Studies since 2007. I also worked as a Title One Tutor in both math and English for grades 5-8. Coaching allows me to use all of my education and experience to work with individuals focusing on their strengths and guiding them towards their visions.
A Healing Path
I have worked with many practitioners seeking my own health and wellness. I have received these services and continue to use them personally since being formally trained. I received certificates in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Level I and Levels I and II of Reconnective Healing in 2005, Level III, The Reconnection in 2009, and Level II EFT in 2011.
Focused on Wellness
I worked as a Family Life Educator through a University Cooperative Extension program from 2005-2011 teaching adults in the community important life skills; parenting, child development, financial management, stress management and nutrition/wellness.
I am passionate about life, about discovery, about spirit, and about truth. I have experienced all of the services I provide as a ‘client’ and know first hand the vast possibilities inherent in this work! My mission has always extended to guiding others into their own awareness and supporting them to put their intentions into practice.
I approach my work with people from a strengths perspective and use my broad knowledge and experience to meet each person as an individual in a place that feels comfortable. I enjoy both one-on-one work as well as group work. I invite you to find your rhythm.
